The princess has revealed that she underwent said intervention on January 16 for other reasons and that in the analyzes following that surgery she was diagnosed with cancer: “In January I underwent major abdominal surgery in London and at that time thought my condition was not cancerous,” he said. “The surgery was successful. However, post-operative tests discovered that there was cancer. Therefore, my medical team recommended that I undergo treatment for preventive chemotherapy and now I am in the early stages of that treatment,” he explained.

The princess has chosen the gardens of her residence, Adelaide Cottage, to convey this message. Sitting on a bench, dressed in casual clothes and very little makeup, Kate wanted to show herself without filters to answer a question that she was already asking around the world: what’s wrong with Kate? The princess has confessed: “This has been a huge shock to us and both Guillermo and I have been doing our best to process and manage this privately for the sake of our family. As you can imagine, this has taken time. “It has taken time to recover from major surgery and to be able to begin my treatment.”

And he continued: “But, most importantly, it has taken us time to explain everything to George, Charlotte and Louis in a way that is appropriate for them, and to reassure them that I am going to be okay.”. Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 8, and Prince Louis, 5, have been a great support to their mother: “As I’ve told you, I’m doing well and I’m getting stronger every day by focusing on the things that will help me heal; in my mind, body and spirit.”

Kate Middleton has also had some words of gratitude and affection for her husband, her main support these days: “Having William by my side is also a great source of comfort and reassurance. As is the love, support and kindness that many of you have shown. It means a lot to both of us. We hope you will understand that as a family we now need some time, space and privacy while I complete my treatment. “My job has always brought me a deep sense of joy and I hope to return when I can, but for now, I must focus on making a full recovery.”

A message of hope: “You are not alone”

The princess ended her message by offering some words of support and hope for all those who, like her, are fighting this disease: “At this moment I also think of all those whose lives have been affected by cancer. “To all who face this disease, in any form, please do not lose faith or hope.”he concluded. “They are not alone”.
