Harry Kane made no secret of his disappointment at Tottenham after losing the derby to Arsenal and being shocked out of the Europa League at the hands of Croatian Dinamo Zagreb.
After the victory against Aston Villa, the English striker appreciated the importance of resuming the path of victory. “We knew we had to win and the guys made a big change and they deserved it. When you go through a couple of tough games like ours, losing the derby and coming out of the Europa League like we did, which was embarrassing for us as players, we had to go out and fix things for the fans and the club, and we did that, ”Kane said.
“The last two games we fell below our standards. It was nice to get it back today: everyone fighting, putting their bodies on the line. That's what we have to do for the rest of the season to push towards the top four, ”added the English scorer.
