According to Federico Cherubini, Juventus football director, there is no indication that Cristiano Ronaldo is going to leave the black and white club, thus dismissing speculation that the striker wants to leave and may continue his career with another team. Cristiano Ronaldo, who joined the ‘vecchia signora’ in 2018 from Real Madrid, has scored 101 goals for Juventus in three seasons.
“There has been no sign from Cristiano Ronaldo about a possible move (…) and no sign from Juve,” Federico Cherubini said at a press conference. “We are very happy that Ronaldo is rejoining the team once the rest period is over after the Euro Cup.”
Cherubini added that CR7 remains “fundamental” for Juventus, although he maintained that it does not have a crystal ball to predict the future. “But let me reaffirm that I will be happy if he stays,” said the leader.
Cherubini said Juventus is already “competitive” and will not be very active in the summer transfer market.
“But we will remain vigilant to choose opportunities in line with the technical and financial parameters of our plan,” said the Juventus football director.
Cristiano Ronaldo played Euro 2020 with his team, Portugal, in which the Portuguese fell 1-0 against Belgium in the second round. Portugal defended title.
