Juanfran Torres will lead the new Intercity project

The Intercity confirmed this Wednesday that it has reached an agreement with Quique Hernandezsports general manager of the club, to terminate his contract, so the Alicante entity opens the door to the former international soccer player Juanfran Torres to lead the new project.

After two successful seasons with two category promotions, Quique Hernández and Intercity have decided to go their separate ways. The former coach and former president of Hércules joined the club in the summer of 2020 and since then he has been the entity’s top sports manager.

With Quique Hernández at the helm of the Intercity sports field, the Alicante club has grown exponentially after accumulating four promotions in just five years, the last two under the direction of the Valencian coach.

For this reason, Intercity, through a statement, thanks Quique Hernández “for the results obtained and his daily commitment, for making history and contributing as the highest sports manager in the progression of the club”.

TFollowing the departure of Quique Hernández, the Intercity sports project will be led by Juanfran Torres, former Atlético de Madrid soccer player and, at the same time, shareholder of the first Spanish club listed on the Stock Exchange, as recently confirmed to Efe the president of the Alicante entity Salvador Martí.
