Spanish forward Juancho Hernangómez signed his best performance of the NBA season this morning with the Utah Jazz, although it was not enough to avoid a third straight loss to the Charlotte Hornets (107-101).
The man from Madrid was once again a starter -for the fourth time in the last five games- after enjoying a few minutes in the previous duel against one of his former teams, the Boston Celtics, and took advantage of his time on the pitch, some 28 minutes in which he scored 14 points -5 of 9 field goals, including 4 of 6 triples-.
In addition, he grabbed 5 rebounds and provided an assist in a duel in which only Donovan Mitchell (26) and Jordan Clarkson (19) scored more than him. Forward Miles Bridges, with 26 points, led the offensive facet of the Hornets, ninth in the East (38-36).
Those from Salt Lake City retain fourth place in the Western Conference with the same mark as the Dallas Mavericks (45-29) just a few weeks before the start of the ‘Playoffs’.
