Real Madrid player Luka Jovic faces six months in jail for having violated self-isolation to prevent the spread of COVID-19 during the state of alarm last March, according to the Serbian state agency 'Tanjug'.
Serbian prosecutors are asking for a six-month prison sentence for Jovic because “he did not comply with health protocols after his return from Spain.” Under Serbian law, the court must now confirm the accusation made by the prosecution. In addition, Jovic had the opportunity to pay a fine of 3.5 million dinars (30,000 euros) that would have prevented further charges, according to the state broadcaster RTS. It is expected that this Friday the prosecution will publish more data on the case involving the Real Madrid forward.
