Josie reveals the secrets of Pedroche's dress and denies the plagiarism: “They have nothing to do with it”

We continue with the hangover of one of the most famous dresses of the year: the one that looks Cristina Pedroche in the Chimes. This time it was a tribute to water and life in a biodegradable design composed of algae, glycerin and gelatin and designed by Paula Ulargui. This Tuesday, the presenter's stylist revealed new details about the spectacular creation: “The dress arrives stretched in a three-odd meter bucket. Then you can put it on the mannequin and it takes that shape thanks to the seams and zippers.” , has said Josie.

The fashion expert has explained in zapping the complicated task of preserving the dress: “The moment the dress gets wet, it becomes water again. It is not a garment because being a crop, it continues to grow. It is real life, it is the first living dress, I I think we've seen it on television.” And she added: “Only Pedroche can wear it because of her skin. She is a person who is tanned and has very juicy skin, she is very lucky.”

Josie revealed how the idea came about: “It was the thread between water and life that inspired all this. In spring I was lucky enough to see contaminated water, I had never seen it, nor that disgusting color. That made me think: 'But is this what we have under our feet?' In the end I, who am a fan of Paula Ulargui, thought 'I would love to make a living dress that, when watered, life can emerge there', because Pedroche had given life in this year and the concept had to be life.

Finally, she has stood up for her team against the accusations of plagiarism they have received in relation to a dress she wore Becky G in 2022: “No, it has nothing to do with it, it's not the same material, we wanted to do what we wanted”. And he downplays the controversy: “It is an event that is fantasy, catharsis…People throw a tomato or a carnation, it's like that.”
