Josie gives us the keys to Cristina Pedroche’s styling

After giving the Chimes on Antena Tres together with Alberto Chicote, one more year Cristina Pedroche’s styling has been one of the most commented on social networks. Under Josie’s creative direction, the design for this night – the most special of the year – features a dialogue between advocacy and fashion.

We have spoken with Josie and she has confessed that the idea for Pedroche’s design this year arose “when contemplating the horrors of the 2022 war and the need to ask for PEACE for all” through the presenter’s styling, which is why the exterior has been reflection “of chaos” and by taking it off, “the PEACE that hopefully floods us in 2023” has been discovered.

Josie went to UNHCR to “ask for their help and to propose a joint action around the Antena 3 Chimes and from the first moment Amaia Celorrio (communications manager for the Spanish committee) was enthusiastic about the idea.” From then on, the designer got down to work “searching for needs, equipment and getting everything ready before getting fully into ‘Your face sounds familiar to me'”.

“When in 2014 I was asked to take care of this mess, there was no pressure because nobody saw this broadcast… The 1 was sweeping! But that style was a boom and began a very successful tradition, which has contributed to turning the audience upside down to this event” confesses Josie and for this reason she is glad “to have contributed but the playful aspect of my work has not changed a bit”.

For Josie “it is a luxury to have the talent and know-how of Íñigo Garaizabal and Jacinto de Manuel with me” and she is not worried about the criticism she may receive although “the commotion never ceases to amaze me because my burned phone suffers it during the weeks after the event and this year there will be criticism, as always, because there are transparencies and that raises blisters I don’t know why”.

Regarding Josie’s wishes for this 2023, the designer confesses that “peace for everyone, better news and personally less stress and time to dedicate to my loved ones when the recordings of Tu Cara Me Suena 10 finish… Hopefully no one miss it because I’m sure it will bring a lot of fun and the best entertainment to a lot of people who need it”.
