José Manuel Franco receives the women’s futsal team for their European title

MADRID, 21 Mar. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The president of the Higher Sports Council (CSD), José Manuel Franco, received this Tuesday the members of the Spanish women’s futsal team, which last Sunday won its third consecutive continental title in Debrecen (Hungary).

“On behalf of the Government of Spain, thank you for everything you do in sport and for the values you defend in society. Spain is proud to have athletes like you,” said Franco, who stressed that “Spanish sport must a lot” to the national team.

For his part, the president of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF), Luis Rubiales, thanked “the support” and the reception of the Council, an organization that knows “what equality means”, while the national coach, Claudia Pons described this reception as “very important”. “Thank you for making us feel special and for bringing us into the home of the sport,” she celebrated.
