José Castro: “We are the team that has rested the least”

Joseph
Castro, president of the Seville, has put out his chest after the mathematical classification for the round of 16 of the Champions after beating 1-2 at Krasnodar in Russian lands.

The top leader from Seville recalled that recently the team of Lopetegui was lifting a title and it has been the team that has least rested in Europe. “We have overcome everything, three months ago we were lifting a title, we were the best team last season to adapt to the pandemic and the one that has rested the least. And this year after resting so little and playing more games than anyone else, we are already classified and we continue to grow. Our fans cannot be in the stands but they will be happy because their team is in one of the best moments in its history ”.

Castro also highlighted the level reached by the Seville at the European concert in recent years. ”You have to give a lot of credit to what Sevilla is doing, it's hard to win here. Sevilla had enjoyed clear chances of winning. We have to be happy that in five years it is our third place in the round of 16 ”.

Finally, on the work of Julen
Lopetegui in front of the Seville, the president stressed that “there is a lot of work from the squad and the technicians of all of us who make up Sevilla. It is the fruit of work and wisdom. Sevilla fans are sure to be proud and satisfied that their club continues to grow. We will continue to grow as much as we can, ”Castro concluded.
