José Alberto: “Kevin is sewn with sticks in every game”

Do you leave with the feeling of having lost all three points after two shots to the wood in the last minutes? “I think we played a very good game except until Borja’s first goal, which we weren’t comfortable at all. From there we have been very good and I am going with the game that we have played and with the feeling that, as the minutes progressed, we were closer to achieving victory. But this is football and it is forceful.

The occasion of Antoñín. “I said it in the previous one. To win in this category you need forcefulness in both areas and I think that in Antoñín’s situation we lacked that bit of luck that that ball, which hit the post, went inside which would have been the most normal thing to do. But then you have to defend well the situation of the lateral center and at the end the areas are what determine in this category ”.

How worried are you that you still can’t win away from home? “Seeing what I see nothing. Thats the reality. I think we played a very good game and that we were closer to winning than losing. Thats the reality. This is Second and the forcefulness is what makes the scale tilt to one side or the other. And that is what we have to improve. In our area, a player cannot enter only in minute 92 or 93 to a shot in a lateral center and that later in counter situations like the ones we have had, we must kill the rivals ”.

Are you worried about Kevin’s ankle? “That’s wrong. In the end, a player who is being stitched at home matches is difficult to recover. In the Spanish National Team we have very good possession players, of the well-known tiki-taka, but we don’t have dribblers. We are going to end up without them because I think that, not only Kevin, but any player who has these characteristics should be protected and cared for a little more. Because I think they are scarce ”.
