Jorginho and Emerson join the concentration of Italy

The midfielder Jorge Frello “Jorginho” and the full-back Emerson Palmieri, brand-new European champions with Chelsea, joined the Italian concentration at the Coverciano sports center (Florence) on Tuesday, to start the preparation for the European Championship.

After enjoying two days of rest, granted by the coach Roberto Mancini, Jorginho and Emerson completed the group of 28 players that make up the preliminary list for the Eurocup, which will start on June 11.

Jorginho started in midfield chosen by German Thomas Tuchel, while Emerson stayed on the bench for ninety minutes in the Champions League final won 1-0 against Pep Guardiola's Manchester City.

After the training set for this Tuesday afternoon, Mancini will announce the final list of the 26 players chosen for the tournament, which must be made official before midnight in Italy (22.00 GMT).

Before debuting in the European Championship, in which Italy is in group A along with Switzerland, Turkey and Wales, the selected “azzurro” will face the Czech Republic in a friendly scheduled in Bologna on June 4.

Mancini's team will have their concentration in the Coverciano technical center throughout the group stage and will travel to Rome only on the eve and on the day of their commitments.
