Jorge Vilda: “We finished the game better than we started it”

MADRID, 20 Feb. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The national women’s football coach, Jorge Vilda, considered Sunday’s goalless draw against England in the Arnold Clark Cup “fair” after “a game of much learning” and where his players gave “everything” and went for the victory “until the end”.

“A game of a lot of learning, in which the objective for which we have come is achieved, which is to live the experience, put the team to the test and have tests against great teams,” Vilda said in statements provided by ‘sefutbol.com’.

For the Madrid coach, the draw was “fair”. “Both teams had chances, we were very clear in the second half and we finished the game better than we started. The players gave a great performance”, he pointed out.

“Now we have to recover well from the great effort that the players have made, and we have to congratulate them for this because they have given everything and we have gone for the game until the end. We have to prepare to play against the Olympic champions”, Vilda pointed out, also satisfied because this Arnold Clark Cup is helping them to better understand what they are going to “find” in July and they are “anticipating” it.
