Jorge Molina: “I want to savor every moment and be useful”

Jorge Molina has appeared before the media at the press conference to present his renewal agreement with Granada until 2023. The striker is in optimal physical condition to compete at the highest level and is having a great season, in which he has scored nine goals and four assists between the League and Copa del Rey.

Reasons for renewal: “The reason is how comfortable both my family and I are here. The affection shown by the club, the fans and the teammates is always important. Since we have arrived here, the affection has been enormous, they have treated us phenomenally. If we are comfortable, the best we can do is continue”.

Good physical condition: “Physically I feel very good. I have always tried to take care of myself, I have been lucky and throughout my life injuries have respected me a lot. My age is what I am, but I try to compensate with what experience and the number of years played give you. You try to learn from everyone and so many years of playing allow you to adapt your game and read certain situations”.

Will it last beyond 2023?: “I don’t think it’s worth looking much further. I have always been very focused on the short term, which is what makes you achieve long-term goals. What I try to do is enjoy, savor every moment and be useful and accompany the team, help to have better results”.

Victory at Mendizorroza: “The atmosphere is so much better. We hadn’t gotten that victory for a long time, although we had deserved it in some games. That victory and the way it was achieved. It’s not easy to get back on your feet after you come back in the second half. It is a sign of how united the team is and of the eternal struggle of the club. Very happy for that victory”.

Possibility of descending: “From the inside we are all one hundred percent convinced that the team is going to be saved. In the end, both for the club and for me, we are happy and that is why we decided to continue”.

Your input: “Because I have renewed I am not going to change anything about my attitude. I try to be useful to the team, if I play and if I don’t play. We all want to help from within to achieve the objective”.

Problems with the goal in the matches prior to Mendizorroza: “You have to be calm. The most important thing is that chances are created. Creating them, there are people with a lot of goals, very good people. With confidence and calm, the goal was going to come for sure”.
