Jorge Javier Vázquez announces that he will be Isa Pi’s best man at her wedding with Asraf Beno

The Catalan presenter, who returned to the small screen this Monday with the program Chinese Stories After retiring last May on medical leave, he announced the latest bombshell of the summer: he will be the best man at Isa Pi and Asraf Beno the next October 13. This is what he announced in his commented open letter to Pablo Motos: “I saw you with Pantoja but it was not clear to me if he was going to go to his daughter’s wedding or not. And of course, since I am the godfather, well, to go to pick it up before Cantora”.

It was last July when Isabel Pantoja’s daughter launched the request to the presenter: “When they asked me who I would like to be my godfather I thought of Jorge because for me he has been like my television godfather. He is a person who has always opted for me, he has always believed in me, he has always had a nice gesture for me when maybe no one believed in me and that has meant a lot to me,” the bride said then.

Isa also then added that her relationship with the presenter is very close: “Many times when family things have happened, he has not shied away like other people have done, on the contrary, if he has had to say things he has said them.” And she added: “At first he was going to be my brother, but…”. And his brother, Kiko Rivera, will be one of the big absences in the Isa Pi wedding, since they have not spoken for more than a year. His mother’s attendance is still a mystery, although she is quite clear: “I don’t think she’ll go.”
