Jorge Javier, “buried by the weight of responsibility”, acknowledges his resounding failure in the theater

Criticized and praised in equal parts for his adventures in the theater, Jorge Javier Vazquez He did not finish his last tour with a good feeling, Dismantling Seneca. That the play was no longer so well received by the public was more than palpable and, months after the end, the presenter of Save me He has spoken at length about his latest experience on the stage.

“The beginning of 2022 caught me finishing the tour of Dismantling Seneca in Madrid, at the Reina Victoria. Bad time to do theater. The people were not there for many parties and it was accused at the box office”, writes the one from Badalona this Wednesday in his blog Lectures.

For Jorge, these were the reasons why his work stopped working: “I remember that on the day of the premiere, on January 13, it cost us God and help to make the guest list because they were dropping like flies: the one who did not have covid I had been in contact with one. For all this, it is rethinking to continue in theater. He does not feel valued after five plays behind him since 2014 (two as a producer and another three as a leading actor): “The worst thing about my experience in Madrid is that I lost my desire to do theater. For various reasons. The paramount, because I’m tired of passing exams.
