Jonathan Milan takes the second stage of the Giro and Evenepoel defends the pink

MADRID, 7 May. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Italian cyclist Jonathan Milan (Bahrain-Victorious) has won the second stage of the 106th edition of the Giro d’Italia this Sunday, held between Teramo and San Salvo over 202 kilometers, while the Belgian Remco Evenepoel (Soudal Quick-Step) has managed to retain the ‘pink jersey’.

The runners will face this Monday the third stage of the transalpine round, which will head south and will include some hills between the 216 kilometers between Vasto and Melfi. The first 170 kilometers will be flat, and from the Vulture Mountains the climb towards the Valico dei Laghi di Monticchio will begin, with slopes between 6 and 7%. After a short descent, you will go up to Valico La Croce and you will have to go down to Melfi.
