The Portuguese striker for Atlético de Madrid, Joao Felix, acknowledged his enthusiasm before the return of the Champions League, “one of the most beautiful challenges” in a footballer’s career and believes that if they maintain “the same mentality and attitude” as in the victory against Osasuna they will be able to make “a ‘great game'” this Wednesday against Manchester United.
“The Champions League is always one of the most beautiful challenges in a player’s life. We are well, motivated, the public will be with us and it will be a beautiful game to watch and play,” said Joao Felix in statements to the official media of the club.
The Portuguese celebrated their arrival at this game after their victory against Osasuna where they were “very close”. “We were very good and we did things well. We got a good victory and it was a good game for me and for everyone. We are all motivated for this game on Wednesday”, he pointed out.
“We have to continue with the same mentality and the same attitude, because if they are there and they are good, the quality of each one is coming out and that of the team is going to come up. We are going to try to make a ‘great match’ to win the one way and then we’ll see”, he sentenced.
