MADRID, 17 Dic. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Spanish boxer Joana Pastrana, quadruple European champion, will receive this Sunday the Golden Santa Claus in the X El Corte Inglés Santa Claus solidarity race, which will compete (10:30 am) about 5,500 runners dressed as Santa Claus and Elfo, those under 12 years old, over 5 kilometers through the center of Madrid.
Registrations are still open to start celebrating Christmas with this sporting event, which can also be joined virtually by all those who prefer it.
This edition is held in person again after last year’s hiatus, which was only held virtually due to the crisis caused by the pandemic. Registration, which includes the complete Santa Claus or Elf costume, will be 12 euros, with special discounts for families.
Since its first edition, the Carrera Santa Claus El Corte Inglés has always had a solidarity character. This year the solidarity contribution (one euro for each of the registrations) will go to the Spanish Red Cross to promote its ‘School Success Promotion’ project for children at risk of social exclusion.
You can run the 5 kilometers of the race through the official application. The virtual registration costs 1.60 euros, which will be allocated entirely to the solidarity cause of the test in this 2021 of the Spanish Red Cross.
Optionally, and for 10 euros, you can get the technical shirt of Santa Claus (or Elfo in the case of children under 12 years) at the Corredor fair, which will be installed again in El Corte Inglés de Princesa, from Thursday 16 to Saturday 18 December, from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
In this edition, the Golden Santa Claus will be received by Joana Pastrana, who joins the list of previous winners made up of Fermín Cacho (2017), Jesús España (2018), Alessandra Aguilar (2019) and Javi Guerra (2020).
