BARCELONA, 1 Ago. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Spanish rider Joan Mir (Repsol Honda Team) will ride again this weekend at the British Grand Prix, which takes place at the Silverstone track between August 4 and 6, for the first time since Mugello, as long as pass a medical test this Thursday.
“Joan Mir, who has been sidelined since the Italian GP, will be back on his RC213V this weekend at the Monster Energy British Grand Prix, provided he passes a medical test on Thursday,” Dorna announced.
Mir injured his right hand in Mugello, which forced him to miss the following Grand Prix, in Germany and Assen, and to be out of the MotoGP circuits for the last two months.
However, after the summer break, Mir is fully recovered from his injury and aims to start the second half of 2023 with a good weekend at Silverstone.
“Our break has been a little longer than the others, but I am now fully recovered from the injury I suffered in Mugello. I have returned to training and riding different types of motorcycles normally for a few weeks, so I feel good physically”, assured Mir, in statements provided by the team.
“The goal for the weekend is to make the most of each session and get back into the MotoGP and racing mentality after so many weeks away. It will be great to see everyone again and get back on the Honda RC213V.” he added.
