Jessica Val leads the Arena swimming team in Spain and Portugal

MADRID, 13 Abr. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Spanish swimmer Jessica Val leads the 2023 Arena swimmers team, which has bet even more on Portugal by incorporating three swimmers and strengthening the women’s team in Spain with the presence of Carmen Balbuena with an eye on the next World Championship in Fukuoka ( Japan), from July 23 to 30, and the minimum for the Paris Games in 2024.

At the end of some of the most important competitions of the year for Spanish and Portuguese swimmers, the Arena team has been reinforced this year with a group led by veteran breaststroker Jessica Vall, who has been trusting in the historic brand specialized in swimming since 2014.

The swimmers who have joined this year have been the Portuguese Diogo Ribeira, Gabriel Lopes and Joao Costa, and the Spanish
Sergio de Celis (CN Sabadell), members of the 4×100 freestyle relay for Fukuoka, and Carmen Balbuena (Inacua Málaga), from Malaga specialized in 100 and 200 butterfly.

They join Tamila Holub, Jose Lopes and Miguel Nascimento in Portugal; and in Spain, in addition to Carmen Balbuena, arena has a women’s team made up of Jessica Vall, who, for the moment, has a place in Fukuoka for the 4×100, and two other members of the Sant Andreu Club: Marta García Crivillers (Rio 2016 ) and Julia Pujadas.

In addition, the brand also has swimmers such as Paula Otero and Alba Vázquez, both selected for the Absolute World Championship in 400 m and 1500 m freestyle, in the case of Otero, and in 400 styles, in that of Vázquez.

Joining De Celis on the men’s arena swimming team in Spain are sprinters Fran Arévalo and Alberto Lozano, stylist Joan Lluís Pons and open water swimmer Alberto Martínez. All of them still have one appointment left to obtain the minimum for the Fukuoka World Cup at the Trofeu Ciutat de Barcelona, ​​which is part of the Mare Nostrum Circuit.

And completing the arena team are Paralympic swimmers Teresa Perales, Princess of Asturias Award for Sports and with 27 medals in the Games, and Toni Ponce.
