Javier Hernanz, new president of the RFEP after winning the motion of censure

MADRID, 17 Nov. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Former member Javier Hernanz is the new president of the Royal Spanish Canoeing Federation (RFEP), after winning the motion of censure against the previous president, Pedro Pablo Barrios, this Wednesday at the Assembly of said body held at the Committee’s headquarters in Madrid. Spanish Olympic (COE).

Javier Hernanz, world runner-up in marathon and Olympic diploma in K-4 1,000 meters at the 2016 Rio Games, obtained the support of 57 of the 66 assembly members present at the COE and who voted through the electronic system, reports the RFEP.

Hernanz thus relieves Pedro Pablo Barrios, elected president of the RFEP in February 2021.
