Jaume: “There are no excuses, it was a game that had to be won”

Jaume Doménech, goalkeeper of Valencia, regretted the defeat won by his team against the Leganes in Butarque and he said that they missed a good opportunity to get closer to the positions that give access to the European competitions.

“We have no excuses, it was a game that had to be won. The team has tried hard but it is not enough. We had a very good opportunity. We have to raise our heads and fight the last two games,” he said on the microphones of Movistar at the end of the duel.

“The defeat leaves us with a very bad taste because we knew the importance of today's match, for us it was a final and an opportunity to get hooked up. Now we have to wait and see what happens tomorrow with the Getafe“he commented.

He also guaranteed that they will fight to the end for the goal and took stock of the clash: “We knew we were coming to a difficult field, they play their game. They only had the penalty action but it has penalized us. They have done a very good defensive job and we have not known how to live up to the situation to win the game. “
