Jason: “Physically we are better than before we left”

Jason Remeseiro, midfielder of Getafe, affirmed this Friday that his team is physically “better” than before the start of the LaLiga break forced by the pandemic caused by the coronavirus.

Since last Monday, the Getafe players can already train in a group and, for Jason, returning to routines in which all the members of the squad can participate has been a breath of fresh air for the men of José Bordalás.

“I think we are all pretty well physically. They are hard workouts, the heat is tightening, but we are all quite well. The return of everyone has surprised me for good. We are very well physically. Better than before we left, “he said in statements collected by the Madrid club.

“Now, much better. In the end, we are used to training in groups and large. Training in this way is quite good for us. Playing games between us, picking up pace, is quite important. It is what gives having that plus and that resistance to face the eleven games that remain, “he added.

Jason acknowledged that he missed team practice and have more contact with the ball. In addition, he recalled that the first work sessions were for protection and, at this time, playing reduced soccer games and completing large possession exercises was something that was “greatly missed” because it is the “essence” of soccer.

He also indicated that for the eleven games that remain for Getafe, they all have to be “concentrated” because it is a situation that they have never experienced and they will have to face many duels in a short time.

“Having a fairly complete squad will help us to be prepared and rested to be able to face everything. The physical as well as the psychological is important. You have to prepare well, do a good mini preseason to be well for the eleven games. And mentally you have to change the chip. At this point we would all be on vacation and thinking about other things. But you have to adapt to this situation, “he said.

Regarding the first match that Getafe will play against Granada, indicated that they will try to get the three points and that their team will go out “to win” wherever.

“We have to be aware that starting off on the right foot is vital for this new League, as we say. Competitive players do not want to be beaten twice (Granada lost the first leg at the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez). It is normal that they have those They want to win. They will try to go for the three points, as we will go for them too. “

He also explained that it is possible that there will be results throughout the days that will not be expected because it is not known how the stoppage will influence each club.

“The sooner everything returns to normal, both soccer and another type of sport or work, that will help people mentally. They will see another way and that encourages people,” he concluded.
