MADRID, 27 May. (EUROPA PRESS) –
Barça coach, Sarunas Jasikevicius, confessed the vital importance of winning the start of the Endesa League playoffs against Gran Canaria, although he also added the need to improve to make it 2-0 on Sunday in Las Palmas.
“It’s 1-0, we’ve been able to put up with bad times. We’ve fallen too quickly for our level but we’ve been able to hang on, this is the most important thing. Canaria”, he said in statements to Movistar Plus, collected by Europa Press.
The culé coach highlighted his team’s ability to suffer, with last week’s defeat against Real Madrid in the Euroleague semifinals still in his mind. In addition, ‘Saras’ recalled that defense is fundamental in a team with as many points as the canary.
“In attack when we know that they close a lot and we have to take balls out, we have found our game. But in the second and third quarters they put us over 20 points, many points against. This team has many points in their hands, we have to lower them. We have to continue like this,” he concluded.
