BARCELONA, 28 Feb. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Barça Femení player Jana Fernández received a medical discharge on Tuesday after being injured for more than a year, after tearing the cruciate ligament in her right knee in February last year, and assured that she would be ready to play again as soon as Jonatan Giráldez believes it necessary.
“I receive the discharge with the greatest possible joy and the satisfaction that everything has gone well and I see myself ready to give my one hundred percent,” said the 21-year-old defense.
Jana Fernández was injured in training on February 12, 2022. After more than a year out, she has already recovered from a torn anterior cruciate ligament in her right knee, on which she was operated on by doctors Ramon Cugat and Pedro Álvarez.
“Whenever you suffer an injury, being discharged is the most awaited moment for every player. And even more so after a very long injury to crusaders, of more than a year,” acknowledged the homegrown defense.
Of course, he recognized that playing or not playing is up to Giráldez, but he reiterated that he feels ready to play this weekend. “I’m prepared to play a few minutes, if it happens. If not, I’ll wait for my chance,” she opened up.
