Colombian midfielder James Rodríguez will play in European football again after signing for Greek Olympiacos, as confirmed by the Piraeus club on Thursday, where he will meet Brazilian Marcelo, with whom he shared a dressing room at Real Madrid.
The international came free to the rojiblanco team after breaking his contract with Qatari Al-Rayyan by mutual agreement, where he had been since September 2021 and where he barely played 12 league games, scoring four goals.
Olympiacos will be the sixth club in Europe for James Rodríguez, whose career threatened to be brighter than it is today at 31 years old. The midfielder became known at Portuguese Porto, from which he went to Monaco to later be transferred to Real Madrid after his performance in the 2014 World Cup.
