Izarra receives Cayón on the thirty-first day

The Izarra receives this Sunday at 5:30 p.m. the visit of the Cayón in the Merkatondoa during its thirty-first meeting in the Second RFEF.

Izarra faces the match on matchday 31 with renewed spirits to channel a positive streak after winning the last two games of the competition against Peña Sport away from home (0-1) and against CF Ardoi at home (2 -0). Since the start of the competition, the locals have won 11 of the 30 games played to date, with a streak of 30 goals for and 27 against.

On the visitors’ side, Cayón suffered a defeat against Mutilvera in the last match (1-2), so they hope to end their losing streak and recover their trajectory in the championship. Before this match, Cayón had won in six of the 30 games played in the Second RFEF this season, with a balance of 21 goals for and 49 against.

As a local, Izarra has won seven times, lost four times and drawn four times in 15 games played so far, an indication that they will have to make an effort during this game if they do not want more points to escape from their stadium. In outings, Cayón has a balance of two wins, nine losses and four draws in 15 games played, so in theory it could be a favorable match for Izarra to add a positive result at home.

In turn, the visitors accumulate full of victories at the Izarra stadium, as they have already won three games away from home. The last time Izarra and Cayón played in this tournament was in December 2021 and they ended up drawing 0-0.

Analyzing the situation of these teams in the classification table of the Second RFEF, it can be seen that the locals are ahead with an advantage of 15 points with respect to Izarra. The locals, before this game, are in ninth place with 44 points in the standings. For its part, Cayón has 29 points and is fourteenth in the tournament.
