ITF publishes Olympic list with Federer as leader of Switzerland

The International Tennis Federation (ITF) released on Thursday the list of players who will represent their countries at the Tokyo Olympics between July 24 and August 1. And that list includes Roger Federer As the leader and sole male representative of Switzerland, although the winner of 20 Grand Slams said a few days ago that his participation in the event was contingent on what he did at Wimbledon, so he could still resign.

The list confirms that Spain will attend with Pablo Carreño, Alejandro Davidovich, Pablo Andújar and Roberto Carballés in the men's box, and Garbiñe Muguruza, Paula Badosa, Sara Sorribes and Carla Suárez, in the female category. Carreño-Davidovich, Andújar-Carballés, Muguruza-Suárez and Badosa-Sorribes will be the doubles pairs.

For the rest, the presence of Novak Djokovic with Serbia, along with Miomir Kecmanovic, Nina Stojanovic and Ivana Jorovic (both invited by the ITF), and Andy Murray with Great Britain stand out., accompanied by Daniel Evans, Johanna Konta, Heather Watson, Joe Salisbury and Neal Skupski (the latter two only in doubles). Argentina will attend with Diego Schwartzman, Facundo Bagnis, Federico Coria, Nadia Podoroska, Andrés Molteni-Horacio Zeballos and Facundo Bagnis, who will partner with The Little. Chile will only present Marcelo Tomas Barrios Vera and Colombia will only present doubles players Juan Sebastián Cabal and Robert Farah.

Other stars on the list are Nick Kyrgios and Ashleigh Barty (Australia), Aryna Sabalenka and Victoria Azarenka (Belarus), David Goffin and Elise Mertens (Belgium), Bianca Andreescu (Canada), Petra Kvitova (Czech Republic), Alexander Zverev (Germany), Stefanos Tsitsipas (Greece), Iga Swiatek (Poland), Daniil Medvedev and Andrey Rublev (Russia), while the United States will present a team of circumstances due to the multiple resignations: Tommy Paul, Frances Tiafoe, Tennys Sandgren, Marcos Giron. The individual tables are of 64 tennis players and the doubles of 32 couples.
