Italy plans to punish fans guilty of racist behavior for life

MADRID, 19 Oct. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The president of the Italian Serie A Lega, Paolo Dal Pino, has advanced that they are working on a new regulation that allows fans guilty of racist behavior to be punished for life, who could not re-enter any stadium in the country.

“It is not just a problem of certain stadiums, where we see individual cases of characters that should no longer enter them. We are working on a memorandum of understanding to punish for life those guilty of racism not only in a stadium, but in all, “explained Dal Pino in statements to Rai radio.

In addition, the highest representative of Italian club football pointed out that they are also debating the creation of a “respect room”, within the VAR center where the video refereeing will take place, to record and record racist acts with a view to possible punishments.
