“It wasn’t depression, but I was on my way to training and I wanted to come back”

“That problem occurred in the national team and I said to myself: I need to put my head in order. It wasn’t depression, but I was on my way to training (with Atlético de Madrid) and I wanted to go back; she went out to play and wanted to get out of the game fast. It was difficult,” he explained.

“There I said to myself: I have to call (the psychologist) and I need to vent, I need to communicate everything I’m feeling. And by doing so, I took that weight off my shoulders and made me stronger. Today I continue to work with him,” he completed.
