After the event, Irene Montero has launched a reflection on X, the old Twitter: “Is the monarchy feminist because the heir to the throne is a woman?”

Below, the Podemos politician has presented her argument: “Feminism is the engine of democracy, the opposite of monarchy. Feminism is based on the idea of ​​radical equality between people and the monarchy in a blood privilege. Monarchy and democracy, monarchy and feminism, are incompatible.”

Defender of the Republic, added: “In fact, the monarchy bases its legitimacy on non-democratic and also sexist norms.: They occupy the Head of State without being voted on and according to the Constitution, the man must inherit the crown before the woman.
