Iraola: “We must insist and believe. I have confidence in my players”

Analysis of Spanish: “It’s a team we know well. We’ve played together for the last two seasons. They’re strong at home, they’ve got 31 points, which is outrageous. Their last two wins have given them peace of mind. They’re in a better situation than we are”.

Team mood: “Playing during the week has meant that we can’t afford to beat ourselves up about what happened. We analyze what we did wrong, especially as a result of the rival goal. I didn’t like that end of the game and we talked about it”.

Rotations: “Surely there will be some change. It will not be a product of fatigue, but rather to get the best eleven for Espanyol. We are not thinking about Sunday because this game has a very high importance”.

Relegation is coming: “We have to think about ourselves. That’s what permanence is going to give us. We can’t wait for someone to come and win a game for us. We have to do it ourselves. And compete well throughout the match, even in the phases in which you’re being dominated”.

Losing streak: “When you’re immersed in it, like now, it seems like a lot of things have to happen to win. We have to insist and believe in ourselves. I have full confidence in my players. We have to improve forcefully and not make mistakes with goal value”.

Without gunpowder: “These are things that are trained. The players want to score through the top corner and from a distance. In the end, those goals are circumstantial. Normally they come from second plays, from rebounds… The other day we made three shots between the three sticks of twenty Joer, it’s very little. That has to be improved.”

Get Victory: “This is First Division and, if you make a mistake, the rival is going to make you pay. We have to be competitive”.

State of Falcao: “He comes from a fairly long period in which he has not trained with the team. He is not at their level. He is involved with the group and wants to get in. We are going to see if there is any option for him to travel with the team and accompany us. I hope to have him with us soon.”

Blame the winter market?: “There will be quite a few factors. That will be one of them, but there will be more and we will all have our share of responsibility, but right now is not the time to talk about that. We have to compete, win, in the next game… We have to face it like this or we would be wrong”.
