Iñigo Córdoba will go through the operating room the day after tomorrow to have surgery on his right knee. Alavés, the club to which the Athletic footballer is currently on loan, has issued a statement to explain the state of the Bilbao footballer. The babazorro club hopes to continue to count on their services in this final stretch of the League.
The intervention to which Córdoba will be submitted will consist of “an arthroscopy to intervene a synovial plate in his right knee “. The left-handed winger, apparently, suffers from an ailment in that joint that has been weighing him down for a long time. The operation is scheduled for this Thursday and the player “will begin his rehabilitation immediately.”
Córdoba arrived at Alavés in the last winter market on loan from Athletic. According to the Babazorro club itself, the Bilbao-born club says in its note “he has not been able to perform at his best “because of this synovial plate in his right knee that”, for a few weeks, has forced him to infiltrate in order to continue training and be at the disposal of the team ”.
The left-handed winger from Bilbao, from 24 years old, accumulates 214 minutes spread over seven games since his arrival at Alavés. Before, with Garitano still on the Athletic bench, he had played three games as a lion. In only one of them, precisely in Mendizorrotza in front of the babazorra squad, he was the starter.
