The goalkeeper will have a clause of 400 million euros

The FC Barcelona youth squad goalkeeper Iñaki Peña renewed this Tuesday with the Blaugrana club until the end of the 2025/26 season, and now has a termination clause of 400 million euros and is consolidated in the first team.
“FC Barcelona and the player Iñaki Peña have reached an agreement to renew his contract until June 30, 2026. The termination clause is set at 400 million euros,” the Blaugrana club announced.
Peña signed his new contract at the offices of the Blaugrana club together with the president, Joan Laporta. A renewal that allows the Alicante goalkeeper to continue dreaming of occupying the Blaugrana goal, something he has done in three games so far this season, one in the ‘Champions’ and two in the Copa del Rey.
Alicante CF saw him make his debut but at the age of 10 he went to the lower categories of Villarreal, where he stayed until 2012, when he landed at FC Barcelona’s La Masia at the age of Infantil, to win the league, still important, in his first campaign.
He went up the ranks in grassroots football until he arrived, in the 2018/19 season, at Barça Atlètic. From that season he began to alternate matches in the culé subsidiary with the dynamics of the first team.
In January 2022, he was loaned to Turkish Galatasaray to play the second half of the season. With the Turks he was able to play eight games, divided into six league games and two in the Europa League, precisely against Barça and with a ‘culer’ pass.
After returning to FC Barcelona, since January 3, he is officially a first-team player. Before becoming so, in November, he was able to debut in the ‘Champions’ at Viktoria Plzen (2-4). He also played in the Intercity-Barça (3-4) round of 32 and then in the round of 16 in Ceuta (0-5), in the Copa del Rey.
“At 24 years old and having extended his relationship until 2026, one of the many challenges that remain for him at culé is to make his debut in an official game at the Spotify Camp Nou with Barça, and perhaps, if the league title comes sufficiently in advance, it can end up doing so in the coming weeks,” the club said.
