In Mallorca and with a blue ‘dress code’: this has been the pre-wedding of Marco Asensio and Sandra Garal

Tamara Falcó and Iñigo Onieva are not the only ones saying “yes, I do” this weekend. Football player Marco Asensio (27), who has just signed for PSG, and the interior designer Sandra Garal (25) are getting married this Friday in Mallorca and have gathered all their guests 24 hours before to celebrate a spectacular pre-wedding at Purobeach Palma, an exclusive venue on the beach.

The bride and groom have appeared dressed in white, thus breaking with all superstitions. Sandra has chosen an impressive design by Isaac Castelo Ares from A Coruña, a natural silk crepe and satin suit with more than 100,000 hand-embroidered Swarovski crystals that took nearly 250 hours of work to make. The groom, matching a white satin suit combined with sneakers. The ‘dress-code’ for the guests was blue, a nod to the city of Paris, where they will begin their married life at the end of July after the signing of Asensio by PSG.

Only 75 of the 200 guests scheduled for this Friday at La Fortaleza de Pollença attended, where couples like Rafa Nadal and Xisca Perelló also said “yes, I do.” The pre-wedding has been enlivened by the Cordovan group Cosita Wena and the stellar performance has been saved for the big day: Omar Montes, who will sing before the fireworks that will be launched at midnight.

Marco and Sandra have booked two Meliá hotels in Palma for these days, and three in the Pollença area, although some of the guests have decided to take advantage of the trip to rent private villas and stay to rest for a few days. The list includes names like Thibaut Courtois and his recently released wife Mischel Gerzig, Jordi Alba with Elena Galera or Sergio Busquets with Romarey Ventura. Also Lucas Vázquez, Dani Carvajal or Fede Valverde with their respective wives, Maca, Daphne Cañizares or Mina Bonino.

Marco and Sandra met in 2018 and it was a year later, at the wedding of Sergio Ramos and Pilar Rubio, when they made their official presentation. She studied Architecture at the Polytechnic University of Madrid and is dedicated to the world of interior design, which is why she faced a multitude of accusations during the first months of their relationship, as there are those who claimed that she was only with Asensio for money. The bride has revealed that she will wear Rosa Clará on her big day and will wear hairpins that belong to her mother. The decoration of the evening will be marked by white tulips in honor of her boyfriend’s Dutch roots.
