“In Madrid they are very sure that Mbappé will end up there…”

The future of Kylian Mbappé is on the way to being decided in the last weeks of May. The sports director of PSG, Leonardo, attended the media in a mixed zone to talk about the future of Bondy’s talent, who also assured that he has not decided anything yet after being proclaimed champion of Ligue 1 this Saturday with PSG.

On the Ligue 1 title: “10 titles”? That’s great. We are the club, along with Saint-Etienne, that has won the most titles. It’s a round and important number. It’s the record and it’s something we should celebrate. It’s a very difficult season. Since the loss to Real Madrid, it’s been complicated. We’ve lived through surreal atmospheres, like today. But even so, we have some good things, we have things to look at, things to think about. And this will certainly happen now, we’ll make decisions, we’ll think on how to start again next season even stronger.

Her future: “I think it is difficult with me and impossible without me. I want to be here for sure, otherwise I wouldn’t be here. I still want to do it. Honestly, in terms of desire and energy, there is no shortage. I made mistakes, you have to take responsibility for them.”

Mbappé: “In Madrid they have been sure for three years that he will end up at Real Madrid… perhaps they are too sure of it? (laughs at the end)”.

The future of Pochettino: “He has one year left on his contract. It is normal to discuss at the end of the season what are the plans of both parties and other things… It has been a difficult season, but we are champions. We’ll talk about it and then we’ll see.”

Mbappe’s future: “Mbappe? The discussions have always been there. There were discussions in Doha. Nasser was not in Paris today. You know how important it is to him. But tonight, it was really impossible for him to be there. If it wasn’t important for him to be in Doha, he wouldn’t be there. Kylian talks, talks to us. What he says is the truth. Minutes before Leonardo went out to talk about the future of PSG, Kylian Mbappé also decided to go out in a mixed zone to attend to the media.
