Ilimane Diop signs up for Sito Alonso’s UCAM

MADRID, 13 Jul. (EUROPA PRESS) –

UCAM Murcia announced on Wednesday the signing of Senegalese Hispanic center Ilimane Diop, who arrives from Gran Canaria and has already coincided with Sito Alonso at Baskonia.

“Ilimane Diop and UCAM Murcia join their paths for the next season 22/23. The Senegalese pivot has played the last campaign in Gran Canaria and occupies a training place after 11 seasons in Vitoria,” says the Murcian side.

Diop, a Spanish international, played last year in Las Palmas after a career in Vitoria, where he arrived at the age of 16 and reached 258 games in the Endesa League and 193 in the Euroleague.


At 27 years old, 2.10 tall, the center signs for one year for the UCAM of a Sito Alonso who already had him under his orders in Vitoria in the 2016/17 season.
