Iker Pajares wins bronze at the European Squash Championship in Cuenca

MADRID, 24 Ago. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Spanish player Iker Pajares won the bronze medal this Saturday at the European Squash Championships, held in Cuenca, after beating Swiss Nicolas Mueller in the match for third and fourth place by 11-7, 13-11, 3-11 and 13-11.

This success comes for the Catalan, number 25 in the world ranking, after having a great tournament where he was beating all his rivals, losing only one game, until reaching the semi-finals where he was defeated by the Swiss Dimitri Steinmann by 13-11, 11-6 and 11-6. It should be remembered that squash will be an Olympic sport in Los Angeles 2028.
