MADRID, 21 Jul. (EUROPA PRESS) –

The Minister of Culture and Sports, Miquel Iceta, and the President of the Higher Sports Council (CSD), Víctor Francos, have followed the triumphant debut (3-0) of the Spanish women’s soccer team against Costa Rica in the World Cup in Australia and New Zealand on the giant screen that the CSD has installed at its headquarters in Madrid.

Iceta and Francos, dressed in a ‘La Roja’ shirt, were accompanied by athletes from the Madrid High Performance Center (CAR), CSD workers and personalities from the world of sports, who cheered on Jorge Vilda’s pupils in the outside garden of the Council in the first World Cup match.

Spain is part of Group C of the Women’s World Cup together, apart from Costa Rica, Zambia and Japan, against which it will face on July 26 and 31, respectively.
