Ibiza dreams of the ‘playoff’ against the unstoppable Almería

MADRID, 11 Nov. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Ibiza receives this Sunday Almería, leader of the category, in one of the most outstanding matches of matchday 16 in the SmartBank League, a duel in which the Andalusians will try to extend their excellent streak to continue opening distance with respect to Eibar, Tenerife and Las Palmas, his three immediate pursuers.

At the Can Misses stadium, Juan Carlos Carcedo’s team will try to storm the ‘playoff’ positions, which they have only three points behind, in their most complicated game of the course. In front will be an Almería that has five consecutive victories and that does not seem to slow down. Those of Rubi, in addition to candidates, are the team to beat.

Pending the result of Almería will be Eibar -which plays at home against a depressed Alcorcón- and the two Canarian clubs. On the one hand, Las Palmas, fourth classified, will receive a reborn Zaragoza that already treads the middle of the table, while Tenerife will close the day on Monday in its difficult visit to La Rosaleda.

In addition, Ponferradina and Valladolid -in promotion positions to Primera- will face Burgos and Fuenlabrada, respectively. Those of Bolo reacted last week at Anxo Carro and those of Pacheta, who have only lost one game of the last nine, also did the same against Mirandés.

In other games, Sporting will open the sixteenth day with a vital clash against Real Sociedad B. The Asturians accumulate five games without winning and move away from the ‘playoff’ as the weeks go by. Cartagena and Oviedo will be in the spotlight on their respective visits to Girona and Leganés.
