“I wouldn’t mind Haaland playing for Barcelona …”

January is approaching and, with it, everything that surrounds the transfer market becomes even more important. One of the elite teams that reaches the winter window with the most outstanding accounts is Barcelona. Precisely, to return to that elite as soon as possible. Joan Laporta had a meeting with Mino Raiola, on the occasion of the award ceremony of the ‘Golden Boy’ to Pedri, and they discussed various topics, one of them, Erling Haaland, the Blaugrana president’s dream for next summer. About this, among other things, they debated from another gala, that of AS, in ‘El Larguero’.

One of those present, Tomás Roncero, editor-in-chief of Real Madrid in this newspaper, would have no problem if the cyborg Norwegian ends up signing for the great rival of the white team: “I wouldn’t care if Haaland was at Barça. I want to beat them without excuses”. The operation will move high figures, something that Laporta, as pointed out by ‘Sport’, tried to iron out at the aforementioned dinner. Raiola mentioned the Catalans as one of the four teams in which his client could end up in the summer, although later he wanted to qualify his words in AS: “He will go to one of the top 15 clubs in Europe”.

Another name that starred in the Sanhedrin of the SER program was João Félix. Its president, Enrique Cerezo, was clear: “It is non-transferable”. However, its future is up in the air, as we reported in AS. He is not the undisputed starter for Simeone and that makes him ponder a way out. Against Real Madrid in the derby, for example, he came out at half-time and took advantage of the stage to claim: Along with Lemar, he was the best of the team and, if it weren’t for Courtois, he would have come out with the Santiago Bernabéu hero cape.

“João? If Luuk de Jong fits …”

In fact, Roncero recognized the talent of the Portuguese: “If they told me which Atleti player could start at Real Madrid, the only one would be João Félix”. The attacker has been linked on occasion with Barcelona itself and Jordi Martí, a SER journalist, is clear that he would contribute a lot to the culé team: “If João Félix fits me at Barça? If Luuk de Jong fits …”. There is a major must up front. Hence, Ferran Torres, Cavani and company occupy a preferential place on Mateu Alemany’s to-do list. Will João also be signed up?
