“I never would have believed that something like this was possible today”

The German Toni Kroossoccer player Real Madridleft a message on his social networks after his team’s 0-1 victory against Vallecano Ray in which he took the opportunity to show his concern about the invasion of Ukraine by Russia by assuring that “I never would have believed that something like this was possible today”.

“I never would have believed that something like this was possible today… my thoughts are with all the innocent victims of this war and those who still live in fear,” he wrote alongside two photos of the meeting.

One Kroos who described the victory as “important”, but relegated it to the background: “You see again how unimportant football is,” he shared.
