The previous book promotion was incredible because I had up to 90 submissions. From Equatorial Guinea to Chile, passing through the most remote places in the world. Porto, Paris… I assure you that it was a very intense year of work.

I confess that All for a plan I read it in one afternoon because I enjoyed it a lot.

I love that you tell me that because that’s how it should be read. If you like a book or a movie, you can’t stop. My previous book was more dramatic and this one is more Bridget Jones-esque.

Can you explain to me where you get that energy to go hard through life? I know he’s not into drugs, so there’s nothing chemical.

If I took drugs I assure you I wouldn’t do even a quarter of it.

The other day I was saying that I had spent ten days in Argentina with Milei, two weeks in Mexico, ten days in Paris, fifteen in the Himalayas, I have walked in Malaga, Valencia… And it’s funny that they ask me if I miss spending more time with my family. But what is it about being with family? It seems like a very stupid thing to me. My daughter lives in London and now in Madrid and she is happy that I am not here. Am I going to stay and take care of his snot? Children want to be alone and the opposite sounds very redneck to me. I have a granddaughter who is cute but she is with her mother although I go to see her whenever I can.

Who do you like to be with?

I love working and enjoying my friends but it seems very retrograde to me that at the age of my children they tell me if I don’t want to be by their side more.

She is very objective when it comes to highlighting the good and the bad of her people.

I have learned to see my parents from reality and just because he is your father doesn’t mean he is great or perfect. Like any person, they are imperfect and there is no need to be cheesy or annoying by saying that they are wonderful. If you ask me if I prefer to have dinner with my children or have them do it with their friends, I assure you that my answer is that they go out with their people because they are not old enough to be close to me.

Her son Tristán has spent a lot of time by her side, especially during the pandemic.

Indeed, but when he announced to me that he was going to be a dad, I told him that he had to leave home. I was very sad but I understood that we were not going to be living with the child, the mother, all mixed up… I am very organized and strict with meal times and cleaning and if this starts to fill up with junk I know I couldn’t stand it . It couldn’t be. It’s like going back to the villages of the 1950s. It’s absurd that being in the Himalayas going up Everest in a helicopter makes me miss my family. I assure you, not at all.

Many times the ones who are missed the most are the little dogs that I know they have at home.

That’s true. I remember a lot about dogs because the greatest happiness you can receive is from those little dogs who love you madly and don’t give you any problems.

She had to reach the age of 64 to learn to live alone.

Well, Cósima comes from London a lot like now that she has been home for three months. It is true that he does it taking advantage of the fact that I am away a lot. I also spend time with José Manuel (Patón) and I don’t feel alone at all. We half live together and then each one has their own plans. On the weekends he goes on a lot of hunts and I don’t. I assure you that I am one of those who likes to do whatever I want and at my age it is not easy to find a person who has the same tastes as you. I prefer our party times and then being at my house to my ball.

What will Christmas be like?

At this moment I am still in my house but it is destroyed because I don’t even have a kitchen and I assure you that I am living worse than in my life. My new house that I bought is under construction because I have changed almost everything and that will take a few months. I am making a very recycled move since I have all the sofas, the headboards or the lights in the upholstery and the appliances in the new one but thank goodness I have good friends and I wash and dry in their houses. It has been very good for me to go to the Himalayas because my house is like the mountain towns. A catastrophic situation. On top of that, I go out to eat and dine out with friends and it’s something that makes me feel terrible. I will spend Christmas at my friends’ houses and I am sad that we won’t be able to meet at mine because I really enjoy getting people together.

Is there no firm offer for the sale of your house?

I’m not in a hurry and I don’t want to discount anything.

What is my assessment of the year 2024?

I am immersed in a brutal change and on top of that I end up with plantar fasciitis that you can’t see how uncomfortable it is. I have made many trips, excursions, dances with very flat shoes… It has been a very eventful year but it is true that in ten years I would not be able to make these plans, which is why I take it with a sense of humor. Like the other day I had a party for 90 people at home and I put basins in the bathrooms because it was the only way to clean themselves. I assure you that I would not be able to put up with these old lady plans, although I announce that I am organizing some plans for the elderly that will be spectacular unless I fall down a ravine like poor Isak Andic. I also just released two books, one of photos by Javier Salas and All for a plan and I have a full agenda in addition to José Manuel’s birthday party. I don’t even know how I’m going to do it. New house, new store, boyfriend, trips, exhibitions, parades…

And on top of that, fascinated with the president of Argentina Milei.

He is brave. Of all the politicians I have met, he is the one who has had the most fun for me. I also loved being with Pepe Múgica with whom I spent a good time at his house in Uruguay. The truth is that everything is a luxury. I can’t complain about anything except that my foot hurts.

Your best plan for 2025?

Spend a little time with my granddaughter.

I have many friends too but I don’t dare call them so Patón doesn’t get jealous.
