“I don’t rule out a new meeting with Dembélé for him to continue”

Rafa Yustesports vice president of FC Barcelona, ​​is optimistic about the renewals of Araujo and Gavi and does not rule out that Ousmane Dembele may end up renewing. This is what he said on Catalunya Ràdio this afternoon.

“As you know, the negotiations did not bear fruit in their day, but Xavi He tells us that he is an exceptional player, and he is, and that he contributes a lot to the club. I think that Xavi is doing fundamental work, also psychologically, because it helps Dembele better understand the system and it is clear that Xavi is a reference for the players”, he explained. For this reason, he affirms that “if Dembele feels more and more comfortable in the coming months, which I believe will be the case, I do not rule out the possibility of meeting with his agents again, with the possibility that Ousmane can continue with us.”

On the other hand, Yuste was optimistic about the renewals of Gavi and Araujo. He assured that “we are working to the best of our ability so that there are no problems with their renewals and they continue to be club players. They are very happy with the group, the team and that makes negotiations easier. When the players want the club they’re at, it’s easier to talk and that’s why I’m optimistic, because everyone, they too, are doing everything possible to make the renewal possible”.
