The prize for Medvedev exceeds one million euros: € 464,000 for winning the final, € 339,000 for winning the semifinals and € 387,000 for their three group stage wins (€ 129,000 each). To all this, for participating only, the eight players present will pocket another € 129,000. Even the two substitute players present in London, Berrettini and Shapovalov, who did not play a match, have € 61,000 in prize money. Medvedev, with 1,546. € 000, is the player of this edition that obtains the most economic benefit, since he pocketed the maximum possible pot: five games and five victories.
At the point level, it is the only tournament that is greater than a Masters 1,000 and less than a Grand Slam. Each group stage match, also called Round Robin, is 200 points. Beating the semi-final means 400 more while winning the title match adds another 500. That is, a maximum of 1,500 points for the undefeated champion, as is the case with Medvedev: Zverev, Djokovic and Schwartzman, in groups, Nadal, in the semifinals, and Thiem, in the grand final, were their victims. In the case of Rafael Nadal, he got 258,000 euros for his two group stage victories plus 129,000 for participating. At the point level, he added 400 for the ranking.
