Liverpool's Portuguese winger Diogo Jota will be out for between six and eight weeks after suffering a knee injury, his coach, Jürgen Klopp, reported on Sunday before the Premier League match against Fulham.
Diogo Jota signed in the last summer market from Wolves for 40 million euros, he had become one of the great surprises of Liverpool. The Portuguese forward has played 17 games for the Anfield team and scored 9 goals so far this season. Among them, the ‘hat trick’ in the Champions League match at the Atalanta field (0-5).
Jota was injured last Wednesday on the last day of the Champions League, against Midtjylland (1-1). Klopp explained that the ailment of the former Wolves player “is worse than we thought at first but better than we feared later, because he will not have to undergo surgery.”
Left-back Kostas Tsimikas joined Liverpool's already casualties (starting with Virgil van Dijk) after also injuring himself at the Danish side.
