History, on the side of Valencia

Valencia and Betisrivals in the final of the Copa del Rey 2022 that will be played on April 23 in La Cartuja in Seville, have seen their faces even in nine occasions in the KO tournament. Never in a final: the closest they came to meeting in this final clash was in the 2019 Cup, when they met in the semi-finals.

And on that occasion, as in eight of the nine totals, Valencia prevailed, after drawing two goals at Villamarín and winning by a minimum 1-0 in their own fiefdom. Betis only got through one round against Valencia. It was in the 1976 Cup, in the round of 16: the Andalusians won 2-0 in Seville and Valencia, by an insufficient 2-1 in the Turia capital.
