We announced it this Monday in the scoop: Marisa Martín Blázquez and Antonio Montero got the shock of their lives on December 25 when they suffered a robbery in their home in Torrelodones. The couple was returning home after eating at a restaurant for their daughter’s birthday and it was precisely she who found the dilapidated home. In fact, as the journalist confessed this afternoon, the thieves were still inside: “Maria is a little traumatized, scared.”
Marisa has revealed new details about the event: “There is nothing now, they have taken everything except the jewelry. They knew what they wanted”. Although he cannot speak too much, since the investigation is ongoing, everything points to an organized gang that could have acted in other homes in the area. Her husband, Antonio Montero, has explained in TardeAr: “We were gone for two and a half hours. I think someone must have followed us to the restaurant to make sure we didn’t leave, it was obvious that they were in a hurry, they even dropped one of the cufflinks… It was difficult for us to leave things as they were . What we had of value we no longer have. It makes me angry that my brooches, which I wear on Fridays, have all been taken. My watches, cufflinks, and Marisa’s everything that was worth anything”. She has pointed out: “There were things with great sentimental value, from my grandmother, from my mother… That hurts me. “We didn’t see them leave because we were in a place calling the civil guard from the urbanization.”
After the scare, both have regained their peace of mind: “If something big had happened, we would be saying ‘I wish they had taken everything and nothing had happened to us’. Well, nothing has happened to us and it is to celebrate.” Antonio even adds humor to the situation: “I’m going to leave my phone on the walls of the house, so they can call me and tell me what they want and I’ll tell them where what they’re looking for is so they don’t have to throw everything away.” .
Of course, they do not count on recovering their belongings: “If they get caught, great, but I consider everything lost. What I have taken for granted is that we are fine,” said Marisa. “In December they found a stash, that’s why you have to report it with photos and things. These are people who are clear about it, who are only looking for jewelry and things of value. What you cannot under any circumstances is live in fear,” adds Montero.
