MADRID, 29 Jun. (EUROPA PRESS) –
Real Madrid announced this Wednesday the end of the “linkage” with French point guard Thomas Heurtel, after a year in the white box that was cut short since April, when he was removed from the team’s dynamics by Pablo Laso.
“Real Madrid announces that our basketball player Thomas Heurtel has ended his relationship with the club,” the capital team said in a statement on its official website.
Although Laso never said “removed”, the truth is that the Frenchman was out of the team from April until the end of the season, despite the crisis of results that the team was going through and the difficulty of losing his starting point guard.
The French player was honest this week in an interview with the French outlet ‘L’Équipe’, in which he confessed that he went out to party in Athens before a Euroleague game, which would trigger the clash and the punishment of his coach.
“Real Madrid wants to show its gratitude and affection to Thomas Heurtel for the season in which he has defended our shirt, with which he has won the League and the Spanish Super Cup,” adds Madrid, who wishes him “all the best “.
Heurtel arrived at the white team last summer after also leaving Barça badly, since the culé team broke up and stopped counting on him when he found out that he was negotiating with Madrid.
